Impostors

from Malvador by Malvador

lyrics

Home from the office it’s a quarter past nine, just gimme cold dinner and a bottle of wine, I’m not feeling like myself and it’s frightening me.

Off with my coat hit the lights in the parlor, at the sight that confronts me I recoil in horror, twenty-five revelers garishly grinnin at me…

With great bulging eyes they’re all shouting surprise! I’ve shrunk in the corner bereft traumatized, the voice in my head screaming this can’t be happening to me.

Each glaring face seems strangely familiar, on closer inspection they seem quite peculiar, although they are strangers they all clearly recognize me.

Impostors, impostors.

Racing down, headfirst into madness.
Trapped in a web of terror and sadness.

Don’t you remember your father? Your brother? You honestly don’t recognize your own mother? We’re not impostors you can’t really think that that’s true?

Beset by impostors with nowhere to run please pull me out of this nightmare before it’s too late.
Put me in an institution prolonged confinement is your solution. If I am going crazy, well then you’re all coming too.
